iPad
Everything at once, on iPad
A bar on the left for Home, Live TV, Movies, Series and Favorites, a column that opens countries, categories and channels in place, and the picture with today's program beside it.
- Switch channels without leaving the picture.
- The guide sits under the picture instead of behind a button.
- Full screen with one tap, back with another.

Guide
Watch and read the guide
On iPhone, live TV keeps the program under the picture, so you see what is next without leaving the channel.
- Now and next in every channel row.
- Catch-up where your provider keeps an archive.
- Touch and hold a channel for its full schedule.

Controls
Controls that stay out of the way
Picture in Picture
Keep watching in a floating window while you browse — or leave the app and the audio keeps playing.
Skip and speed up
In films and episodes: double-tap the left or right of the picture to skip 10 seconds — keep tapping to add more — or touch and hold to watch at 2× speed.
Volume and brightness
In full screen, drag up or down — on the right for volume, on the left for brightness.
A keyboard, too
On iPad with a keyboard: space to pause, left and right to skip, up and down for volume, M to mute, F for full screen.
Recovers on its own
Provider streams stall. Cobi Player notices a frozen picture and reconnects by itself instead of leaving you tapping reload.
More than one account
Keep several Xtream logins or M3U playlists side by side, each with its own favorites, history and lists.
Movies & series
Movies & series, in full
Seasons, episodes, cast and trailers at a glance. Every season and episode remembers where you stopped — and at the end of an episode, the next one starts by itself.
- Plot, rating and trailer on every film.
- Seasons and episodes with pictures and running times.
- Cast & crew with photos, and badges like 4K, HDR and 5.1.
Movies and series come with an Xtream Codes account. From an M3U playlist, every entry plays as a channel.

Resume
Pick up where you left off
The next episode starts by itself. Your progress shows on every poster.
- Films and episodes resume where you stopped.
- The channels you watched last, one tap away.
- On your other devices too, with device sync.

Player
Speed, subtitles & more
Pick any audio track and set a sleep timer. Everything a stream carries, without leaving the picture.
- Pick the audio track and the subtitles.
- Sleep timer, speed from 0.5× to 2×, and audio or subtitle timing.
- Picture in Picture and background audio on iPhone and iPad.

Got an Apple TV?
Set it up with your iPhone: an 8-digit code instead of typing a server address with the remote. Your favorites, folders and Continue Watching can follow, through your own iCloud.
Cobi Player on Apple TViPhone and iPad questions
Is Cobi Player free?
Yes. Cobi Player is free to download and to watch — forever, on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
If you like it, you can support the developer with Cobi Player Pro and get much more: device sync, folders, your own lists, the player extras and your own look. One Pro covers all your devices, for a year or as a one-time purchase.
How does Picture in Picture work?
Start a video, then leave the app — it keeps playing in a floating window, or carries on as audio. On iPhone and iPad. Subtitles don't show in the floating window; they come back in the full player.
A channel won't play.
Some servers freeze a stream after a few seconds — tap Reload (↻) or reopen the channel; the app also notices a frozen picture and reconnects on its own. If a live channel never starts, try the other stream format — the button reads Format .m3u8 or Format .ts — and check whether it plays in another app: if it plays nowhere, the problem is at the provider. More in When a channel won't play.
Does it play M3U8 — and a playlist's guide (EPG) link?
Both file types work: .m3u and .m3u8, as a link or, on iPhone, iPad and Mac, as a file. A separate guide link in a playlist (XMLTV) is not loaded yet, so playlist channels play without the program guide. The guide and catch-up come with an Xtream Codes account.
