When your provider sends program data (an EPG), Cobi Player shows what is on now and next right in the channel list, and the full guide is one step away. Where your provider keeps an archive, you can watch programs that have already aired. Both need an Xtream Codes account — an M3U playlist carries neither.
On iPhone, iPad and Mac
- Every channel row shows the program on now, what follows, and how far it has run.
- While a live channel plays, the day’s program sits right under the picture.
- Touch and hold a channel — on the Mac, right‑click it — and choose Guide for what is on next.
On Apple TV
- Channels show the program on now in the list.
- Guide in the player’s controls, or in a channel’s menu, opens the full schedule on the program that is on now.
Catch‑up
Channels with an archive carry the Archive badge. In Live TV, Archive shows only the channels you can rewind — a switch in the channel list on iPhone, iPad and Mac, a button on a country’s page on Apple TV. In a channel’s guide, programs that already aired play from the archive, and the program that is running can be started From Start. How far back an archive reaches is up to your provider; the guide offers only what the archive still holds.
Times off by hours?
Some providers write their guide in their own time zone and stamp it as if it were UTC, so every program shows up hours early or late. Cobi Player checks this against the provider’s own “what’s on now” and corrects it by itself, a few seconds after a channel list opens. If the times still look wrong, open the profile — on iPhone, iPad and Mac Settings › Edit Active Profile, on Apple TV your profile’s page in the settings — and set Program Times to Provider’s Local Time; Provider’s Timestamps always shows the provider’s own times. Automatic is the default.
No guide for a channel?
“Your provider sends no guide data for this channel.” means just that: the provider has no schedule for this channel. Many sports and pay‑per‑view channels have none. It is not something the app can fill in.
